Behind the Scenes: A Corporate Paint Night for 60 Guests

Last fall, a major corporate client reached out with a challenge: plan a creative team building activity for 60 employees across three departments — people who had never painted before and weren't sure they wanted to.

Three hours later, every single canvas was finished, every single person was smiling, and the team was asking when the next one would be.

The setup

We shipped 65 pre-drawn canvases featuring a custom design — a simple cityscape with the company's skyline worked into the background. Each canvas arrived pre-stretched, pre-traced and ready to paint. All the team needed to do was provide the tables, chairs and some acrylic paints.

The event

The evening kicked off with a short 10-minute intro — how to load a brush, how to blend colors, and what to do if you make a mistake (hint: you can't, because it's yours). Within 20 minutes, the room was buzzing. People who said they couldn't draw a stick figure were producing paintings they were genuinely proud of.

The results

By the end of the night, the canvases were lined up along the conference room wall. Some guests took photos. Some took their canvas home. Some left them for the office. The event organizer told us it was the first company event where people actually stayed after it was officially over.
