Planning your first paid paint-party session

For independent hosts preparing their first session that guests pay for. This is a readiness plan for the session itself: what you provide, a rehearsal, supplies, the venue and a reset plan. It is not a business package, and it makes no promise about bookings or income.

Business and group-order inquiries: b2b@canvaspaintparty.com.

Define exactly what you will provide

Write down what a guest gets: a canvas, paint and brushes, an apron, a demonstration, refreshments, the room. Be specific, because guests will expect it. We supply pre-outlined canvases and optional paint kits. We do not provide hosts, instructors, entertainers or venues. You are the organizer of your own event, responsible for your own terms, bookings and local requirements.

Rehearse one design before taking bookings

Testing one canvas first has a trial record you can use.

  1. Choose one design

One design keeps your first session simple; add choice later.

  2. Paint it yourself

Paint the full design at the size you will use, at a guest's pace.

  3. Keep it as a sample

Your finished canvas shows guests what they are making.

  4. Note the difficult parts

Plan what you will say about those areas during the session.

List supplies by source

Each optional paint kit has 12 colors (3 ml each), two brushes, an apron, a six-well palette and a color-mixing guide. You choose how many kits you need, separately from the number of canvases.

Ordered

  • Canvases: one per guest, plus the spares you decide to hold
  • Optional paint kits, if each guest gets their own supplies

Your own

  • Water cups, paper towels, table covers
  • Your sample canvas and anything for the demonstration

The venue

  • Tables, chairs, light, sinks, access times
  • Rules on paint, drinks and cleanup

Check the venue and guest plan

Visit the room if you can. Count table places, check light and water, and agree setup and leaving times in writing. Ask guests ahead of time about anything that would help them take part; inclusive planning covers this. If children will paint, we recommend adult supervision for children aged five and under, and children under three should never paint unattended.

Readiness gate

Do not open bookings until each line is done.

Rehearsal

  • Design painted in full at the guest size
  • Demonstration planned

Supplies

  • Canvases and kits received and checked against the order
  • Your own supplies packed

Venue

  • Room, times and rules confirmed in writing
  • Contingency and reset plan written

Plan for problems and the reset

Decide in advance what happens if a guest cancels, if more people arrive than expected, or if something spills. Plan the reset: where wet canvases dry, how guests carry them home, and what you leave the room like.

Check deliveries when they arrive; see damaged, missing or incorrect items. Contact us with your canvas and kit quantities for current pricing before committing to the event budget. For later sessions, see repeat hosting.

Keep planning

Canvas Paint Party supplies physical pre-outlined canvases and optional paint kits. Your organizer arranges the venue, facilitation and other event supplies. Ask about a custom canvas or contact us about group supplies.
