How to review an optional design preview

Seeing and approving an outline is your choice. You can place an order with a photo or ready outline without waiting for design approval. If you ask for a preview, this guide helps you check it and tell us about any changes you would like.

How the review fits the free design process

Design review is optional for every custom order.

Design assistance is free, including the revisions you ask for. We reply and prepare a first outline within one business day; later revisions can take longer. You can ask for a digital preview of the outline. Tell us which adjustments matter most; we will discuss the requested changes with you. We do not promise to keep designs for later reorders, so save your own copy of anything you want to reuse.

Check the main subject

Compare the outline with your reference and with what you said mattered most. Is the main subject recognizable? Are the features you care about, a pet's ears, a building's roofline, a logo's shape, present? Simplification is expected: an outline keeps the shapes that make a subject recognizable, not every detail of a photograph.

Inspect the areas to paint

Look at the outline as a painter will: are the main areas closed, and are the smallest areas comfortable for the people who will paint them? The readiness check lists what to look for.

Check size, orientation and margins

Make sure the preview matches the size (8 × 10 or 11 × 14) and orientation you intend, and that nothing important sits right at the edge.

Verify names, dates and logos exactly

Read every letter and number twice. Names, dates and wording are printed exactly as agreed, so spelling must be right before the canvases are prepared. For a logo, use an accurate reference you are allowed to use. Names, wording and logos has more detail.

If you requested changes

If you requested a preview or revisions, tell us which version you prefer and for how many canvases. If an order uses several designs, name each one clearly so every canvas is matched to the right outline.
